Living Goods Uganda has a team of 150 and will grow to 3400 in the next four years. This year we will serve 5 million people in Uganda and in four years we’ll serve 15 million. We’re growing because we’ve honed a model that works. We measure what matters and are driven by mission: to ensure that every mother and child has basic healthcare in their community.
But we can’t to reach our goal of 15 million people by ourselves. That’s why we’re adding a Deputy Country Director for Community Health Partnerships.
Living Goods will multiply its reach through partnerships with government and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). These are our Assisted Networks and we need you to create more of them
Create strategy. You will create the Assisted Network strategy. Your plan will define the best ways we can help Ugandan government and NGOs in community health. Our staff can help the government and NGOs better utilize mobile technology, collect and analyze data, strengthen their supply chains for drugs and equipment, and develop financial incentives, like pay for performance, that motivate managers and community health workers.
Develop partnerships. Your relationships with people in Ugandan government and health related organizations will enable you to build partnerships with leaders in the ministry of health, districts, and NGOs. You will make it easy and compelling for governments to contract with Living Goods for help with mobile health tools, community health data collection, supportive supervision, and community health worker training. The alliances you develop with government and NGO leaders will lead to contracts and pay-for-performance financing mechanisms for Living Goods to manage more community health networks.
Advocate for community health. Living Goods’ model weaves business practices like marketing, sales targets, and pay-for performance into its work. While we don’t need you to sell our products, we do need you to sell both Living Goods and our approach – to donors, Ugandan government leaders, private health organizations, and NGOs.
Develop our innovative financing approach. Help Living Goods to become a pioneering in health financing and a best in class technical advisor for effective community health systems.
Lead the troops. Direct the Government Relations and Advocacy team to increase external audiences understanding of and commitment to community health and Living Goods, specifically. Build a brand new team to deliver technical assistance to government and partners.
