Digital health is transforming the face of healthcare. All around the globe, access to a mobile phone can mean the difference between life and death. Mobile phones allow families to call for medical help in emergencies. They help rural pharmacists locate lifesaving drugs during stockouts. And they enable health workers to track disease outbreaks, so they can respond quickly and prevent disease from spreading.
At Living Goods, every community health worker we work with gets a smartphone on day one. Using our SmartHealth app, community health workers register households, track maternal health, monitor infant growth, and diagnose and treat common childhood ailments like pneumonia, diarrhea and malaria. Living Goods’-supported supervisors also use smartphones to monitor the performance and target their supervision of community health workers. And our Ministry of Health partners use the data collected by these community health workers and supervisors to measure results and recommend program improvements.
mHealth is at the heart of how we drive impact, enabling Living Goods and government to gather reliable data, provide consistent and accurate diagnoses, and deliver high-quality, cost-effective community health care. However, we do not think that any single technology is the solution for all contexts. Instead we want to support partners and governments identify the right solution for them among the growing number of platforms targeted at CHWs.
Although this role will sit in LGs Global Technology Team, it will work closely with the Community Health Strengthening Team (CHST) Team. CHST is a group of smart and innovative professionals who seek to transform community healthcare across the developing world. They help large-scale implementing partners and Ministries of Health design policies, develop innovative ways to finance healthcare, and co-design programs to deliver high impact, low-cost community healthcare.
Key to achieving this will be to get governments to adopt digital health solutions that will enable these Governments to more efficiently and effectively manage their community health programs. That’s where you come in. As Senior Manager for Digital Health Partnerships, you will work with the rest of the CHST to identify and pursue opportunities to support government in existing and potential expansion countries, and, to design context-appropriate solutions and lead implementation of the same.
Make it happen. We are increasingly being asked to support governments to use digital health to improve the performance of their community health programs. You will lead the design of our approach to providing mHealth technical assistance to governments and partners, and you will deliver it. You will support program design, training and technical assistance to build the capacity of governments and partners to implement and their own digital solutions for community health.
Build and strengthen our digital health rep. You will help build and strengthen LG’s reputation as a key, tech-agnostic digital health partner and implementers. Develop and maintain strong relationships with solution providers, implementing partners and innovators.
Scope new opportunities. Using your knowledge of the digital health landscape, in conjunction with the CHS team you will identify opportunities to partner with country governments and other organizations working in community health to support the design and/or implementation of digital solutions for community health.
Stay on top of it. You will keep up to date on trends, developments and innovations in digital health in our current and potential expansion countries.
Implementation. Using your Tech Project Management skills, you will develop detailed project goals, plans, resources, and budgets for digital health projects, lead project implementation, and manage and monitor project risks. You will coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for execution of projects; and create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
A competitive salary and benefits package commensurate with experience including health insurance and bonus opportunity. The opportunity to be your best while making lives better for those in need.
