Position: Communications Consultant.
Reports to: Executive Director BDAC.
Location: Preferably East Coast US.
Duration: 3 months.
Hours: 20 hours/week.

Objectives
The Communications Consultant will be responsible for advancing Living Goods’ strategic communications efforts, ensuring consistent, high-quality, and timely content delivery that strengthens the organization’s positioning and visibility until a permanent hire is made.
Scope of Work

Objectives
The Communications Consultant will be responsible for advancing Living Goods’ strategic communications efforts, ensuring consistent, high-quality, and timely content delivery that strengthens the organization’s positioning and visibility until a permanent hire is made.
Scope of Work
- Implement Communications Strategy and Content Calendar:
Execute the existing communications strategy and calendar, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and deadlines. - Cross-Team Coordination:
Work closely with Living Goods’ communications, Digital Health and program teams, and leadership to source and develop content. Coordinate across departments to ensure messaging consistency.
- Meet with the BD team to learn about needs.
- Develop materials and messaging that position Living Goods competitively with donors, peer organizations, and coalition partners.
- Content Creation Oversight:
Oversee the development of new communications materials, including but not limited to:- Blog posts and thought leadership pieces.
- Event materials (one-pagers, presentations, speaking briefs).
- Donor-facing reports and updates.
- Social media content (posts, visuals, videos).
- Editing and Quality Assurance:
Review and ensure all communications materials meet high-quality standards, brand alignment, and strategic messaging. - Support for Key Events and Campaigns:
Provide communications support for organizational events, donor engagements, advocacy moments, and major campaigns.
- Monthly implementation reports aligned to the communications calendar.
- Minimum 2 new blog posts per month and/or thought leadership pieces.
- Updated event materials and donor-facing communications assets.
- Coordinate and review with the comms associate weekly management of Living Goods’ social media platforms.
- Support the production of any ad-hoc communications products as needed.
- 7+ years of experience in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience implementing communications strategies and producing high-quality content across formats.
- Excellent writing, editing, and project management skills.
- Experience positioning nonprofit organizations to donor audiences.
- Ability to coordinate across multicultural, geographically dispersed teams.
- Knowledge of global health, international development, or a related sector is strongly preferred.
- Ability to work independently, be flexible, and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Consultant to begin work at the end of May.
- Duration: 3 months with possibility of extension based on performance and organizational needs.
- Experience leading a team.
- Ideally, experience in global health communications and specifically in Community Health.
- Proven experience in similar work with vast coverage in an INGO set up.
- Demonstrated Technical expertise to meet our deliverables.
- Overall impression of the Bid.
- Pricing schedule – indicate the rates you will charge for the consultancy.

Misrepresentation.

Evaluation of bids submitted pursuant to this RFP will be carried out by LG as appropriate.
